Question: What was the relationship of Mother Mary and Saint Joseph like? Considering who Mother Mary is and who you are, it can’t be a typical marriage. How did they relate to each other?

Husband and wife
They were on equal terms.

I was the baby of the family. I was one of them.

Flesh and blood relations.

God’s answer:

Question: In an article I read, the notion of St. Joseph having children from a prior marriage was discounted because only St. Joseph and Mother Mary went to Nazareth during the census. Can you please explain?

God’s answer:

They went ahead
We travelled slower. She was with child.

Question: How did Mother Mary and Saint Joseph raise you?

God’s answer:

To love God above all.

Question: Why are you telling me all about your family life? What is the message you want to impart to people?

God’s answer:

Family values and filial piety are important.

Meaning: We can learn much not only from Jesus but also from his family members. It must also be pointed out that Jesus’ family situation was unusual. Despite this, he was raised in a loving home.

Family values means “the moral and ethical principles traditionally upheld and transmitted within a family, as honesty, loyalty, industry, and faith.¹⁶ Filial piety means “(in Confucianism) the important virtue and primary duty of respect, obedience, and care for one's parents and elderly family members.”¹⁷
